Launching and Sailing “POCKETSHIP“ - HD 1080p

Chesapeake Light Craft’s PocketShip is a 15-foot sailboat with berths for two that’s surprisingly nimble under sail. Amateur boatbuilders working from kits or plans have assembled PocketShips on six continents. In 2014 we rigged up the well-traveled PocketShip #1 with cameras and went for a sail. Designer John C. Harris walks us through rigging and launching the boat, and a variety of on-water maneuvers, including a spinnaker set and a reef in the mainsail.
