What I saw at a Gaza hospital haunts me, with Dr. Thaer Ahmad

We were joined by Dr. Thaer Ahmad, a Palestinian American emergency room doctor who recently spent three weeks volunteering at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis. Based in Chicago, Dr. Thaer traveled to Gaza as part of a team sent by MedGlobal, a charity that provides emergency response and health programs to build resilience among vulnerable communities around the world. Since his return from Gaza, Nasser hospital has been put out of service by Israel’s brutal siege and attacks on the facility, its patients, staff and people sheltering there.
