The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford | Review

I’m reviewing 30 FILMS in 30 DAYS. Today we’re looking at The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is a 2007 American epic revisionist Western film written and directed by Andrew Dominik. This is an American modern masterpiece. This contemplative examination of the lives of Jesse James and Robert Ford is one of the greatest explorations of myth, its effects on those adorned in it their own mythology and the effects it has on those around them. It tears down the idea of the neo-western and makes something beyond it. This is a deeply personal look into American history and a riveting portrayal of the outlaw Jesse James and his killer Robert Ford. Andrew Dominik is an incredible filmmaker and I really, really want to see the directors cut of this movie. Starring - Brad Pitt Casey Affleck Sam Shepard Mary-Louise Parker Paul Schneider Jeremy Renner Zooey Deschanel Sam Rockwel
