Lyrics I woke up this morning I didn’t know who I was. I looked at the room and didn’t know where I was or if I ever was. I woke up this morning. I looked to the skies, they offered reprieve. I look to the moon and find you sitting in the right hand seat. Stars in your eyes as I study the skies. We slowly glide above the Quebec countryside, moon-splashed and frozen, the river our guide, and now I feel you exhale, a low soft sigh. And this is what I lost today. This is what I lost. This is what I lost today. This is what I lost. I woke up this morning I didn’t know what to do. I looked at the room and didn’t know what to do. His hands hit the keys and we are brought to our knees. The explosion of sound and our minds are scattered ’round. The maestro pounds, and my spine takes hold of me, shakes me around, and that’s when I break free. And this is what I lost today. This is what I lost. You ask me how I am, What am I suppose to say? When this is what I lost. I woke up this morning I didn’t know who I was. I looked at the room I didn’t know where I was. If they come around asking please tell tell them in passing, this is what I lost. If they come around asking please tell them in passing, this is what I lost. This is what I lost. #cowboyjunkies #michaeltimmins #margotimmins
