How to tea dye mixed media books

In this video, I share how I use black tea to dye mixed media books I make with fabric, papers, thread and fibers. I show how you can dip whole books in tea or single pieces of fabric or paper. I love this technique because it invites in the ancient, natural healing energies of tea into the practice of creating books in addition to changing the aesthetic of the materials. This video is part of my my on-demand online class, How to Make Wabi Sabi Mixed Media Books. You can view and buy the full on-demand art class here: Emma Freeman is an intuitive mixed media artist and writer who teaches online classes and workshops using textiles, slow stitching, weaving, poetry, nature and mixed media techniques.
