There are lots of cross-border friendships and in some sense, it is these friendships that build understanding between people from different countries and make the world a better place. For more about these encounters between Chinese and people from other country, please check out the series “Encounters in China“ from the playlist During an academic exchange, Noh Eun-Ah, a haegeum professor at the Seoul Institute of the Arts in South Korea, and Zhang Hongyan, a pipa professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in China, became interested in each other’s music field, and decided to hold a special concert for traditional Chinese and Korean instruments. In the future, they hope to lead their students to carry out more collaborations between Chinese and Korean classical folk music.
