Offroading to Pristine Miner’s Cabin and Gold Mine
On this trip my main objectives were to get up to the miner’s cabins, check out the several mines and get all the way up to the upper mine site which features a more modern metal headframe, ore bin and trestle. To get here had to offroad for a good bit to get to the base of the mountain and up to the cabin, the road got a little rougher once I got to the base but of course it was doable. This mine had quite the thick quartz veins and I’m sure there’s still some good gold to extract if someone really wanted to. The cabin was really cool in that it had several memorials and lots of cool pictures and artifacts. My favorites were the wood burning cast iron stove, desert bighorn horn, hatchet and out of tune guitar. Pretty cool place to spend the night might have to do that in the near future. Hope you guys enjoy this explore!
