7 Neoclassical Metal Guitar Licks [Shred Guitar Lesson]

In this video, I teach you 7 Neoclassical Metal Guitar Licks that sound great and are also excellent shred guitar exercises in the neoclassical style. Here’s what we’ll cover in this guitar lesson video […] The first neoclassical guitar lick is one you’ve heard many times from guitar players like Yngwie Malmsteen, Jason Becker, George Bellas, Michael Romeo, Luca Turilli, Joe Stump, etc. It’s easy to learn and easy to play and is a great warm up before we get into the cooler shred guitar exercises. Next, I’ll show you how to play an awesome pivot note pattern using the harmonic minor scale that sounds awesome. Third, I’ll teach you a very dark neoclassical guitar lick that will help you develop your guitar speed. Next up is lick #4. This one is a combination of shred guitar licks that creates a short neoclassical guitar solo. The fifth lick is based on a harmonic minor scale sequence integrated with a sweep picking arpeggio. Lick #6 is another cool harmonic minor scale sequence in the neoclassical guitar style. And the final (seventh) shred guitar lick is an integration of lick 6 and a sequence of 3rds. This is a lot of fun to play and sounds great! Learn how the pros build lightning fast guitar picking speed and how you can do it too (free eGuide): Get more daily tips by following me on Facebook:
