Rumanian Folk Dance Aka Rumanian Folk Lore (1961)

Prahova Valley, Bucharest - Rumania. M/S of a group of girls dancing, they are twirling round under each others arms. They all join hands and dance round in a circle, they are wearing traditional Rumanian red and white costumes with white scarves round their heads, C/U as the girls dance past the camera. There are other girls stood on the balcony of the cottage behind them, there are lots of flowers in front of the cottage. M/S as they break the circle and swing each other round. C/U of a man playing an accordion, a woman is stood next to him watching the dancing. Everyone is laughing and looks very happy, C/U of the girls dancing and spinning each other round. The narrator tells us that we are in Rumania and they are dancing a local folk dance called ’Breaza’. Various shots of the girls dancing.
