’Thou and you’ is a poem by Alexander Pushkin set to music by the Russian composer Cesar Cui. Pushkin dedicated this poem to the countess Anna Alekseevna Andro-Olenina, daughter of the President of the Academy of Arts. Being his muze, Pushkin passionately addresses to her in other poems like ’Her eyes’, ‘I loved you’ and ‘Sing, lovely one, I beg, no more’. We even know that Pushkin proposed to Anna, but eventually they never got married.
