Hurrian Hymn No. 6 Dating to about 1400 BC, this fragmentary hymn was found inscribed on cuneiform tablets near the Amorite city of Ugarit (Modern Syria) and is the oldest piece of music to be found in the archaeological record. - The lyrics are not perfectly understood, but what is known is that it is a Hymn to the goddess Nikkal.
