Men in suits walk about the streets in the sunshine as commentator asks if father dressed to keep comfortable in 100 degrees in the shade? Shots of people swimming in the sea at a beach. At a zoo we see a polar bear swimming about his pool. A monkey with a baby in its pouch eats and ice-cream. An elephant sprays water over himself with his trunk. An orang-utan drinks water from a hose pipe. Followed by an odd sequence that starts with C/U of a sign reading ’Brown & Co. Woollen Suitings’. Cut to secretary sitting at a desk and taking down dictation. As we pull back we hear her boss saying “Owing to the excessive heat, we find a great falling off in gentlemen’s suits“ (we now see the boss is in his vest, shorts and socks).
