Israel: Anti-Netanyahu protesters rally outside his residence ahead of trial resumption

Hundreds of demonstrators called for the resignation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as they gathered outside his Jerusalem residence on Saturday, two days before his corruption trial is expected to resume. Demonstrators were seen holding Israeli flags and signs, as part of weekly protests against Netanyahu demanding he loses his reelection campaign amid corruption charges against him and his alleged mishandling of the COVID-19 crisis. “We are here for weeks and months now, I think it’s the 33rd or 34th week of protest against the corruption of prime minister Natanyahu, and the fact that we are led by an indicted prime minister that has three serious corruption indictments,“ said Tamar Zandberg, member of Knesset.
