US aid arrives in Ukraine as Russia attacks near Kharkiv

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken has promised Ukraine that aid that will make a “real difference” on the battlefield will be forthcoming. US military aid is reaching Ukraine as the country’s military attempts to blunt a Russian offensive in the Kharkiv region, said Sabrina Singh, the Pentagon’s deputy press secretary. The Russian attack on Kharkiv – Ukraine’s second largest city – was not unexpected, Singh said today, and members of the Ukrainian military fought tooth and nail to blunt the Russian attack.
