Landmine Series- Single Arm Punch __________________________ One of my favorite explosive upper body movements, the single arm punch is awesome for developing explosive power for athletes. This movement can be loaded heavier to promote the use of the lower body to generate force and transfer through the upper body, or light to focus on speed of force development. __________________________ Coaching Tips: 1- Start with the bar loaded close to the shoulder, elbow tucked in and wrist over the elbow. 2- This can be performed with a square stance, or with a staggered stance (as shown here) 3- Using small dip at the hips to generate lower body movement and power, push through the floor with the trail leg (same side as the bar is loaded), and rapidly extend the arm like you were trying to throw the bar to the ceiling 4- Slowly retract the bar back down, using your legs or both arms to absorb the load if the bar is heavy 5- Make sure the elbow stays tucked in, keeping the shoulder in a neutral position, so the arm
