Stanley Clarke N 4EVER Admirada superestrella del bajo eléctrico y el contrabajo y uno de los primeros, si no el primero, de los músicos de jazz en alcanzar el reconocimiento mundial como maestro absoluto en ambos instrumentos, Stanley Clarke lleva ya varias décadas en la cima de un instrumento que él mismo revolucionó en los años 70 del siglo XX como miembro fundador del grupo de fusión Return to Forever del gran Chick Corea. Otros hitos en su carrera fueron los álbumes “School Days” en 1976 y “If This Bass Could Only Talk” de 1988, de enorme éxito popular. Recordada también es su colaboración con el teclista George Duke en The Clarke/Duke Project, con quien grabó tres álbumes, o el supergrupo SMV con Marcus Miller y Victor Wooten. Colin Cook: guitarra. --- Stanley Clarke N 4EVER Admired superstar of the electric bass and double bass and one of the first, if not the first, jazz musicians to achieve worldwide recognition as an absolute master of both instruments, Stanley Clarke has spent several decades at the pinnacle of an instrument that he himself revolutionized in the 70s of the 20th century as a founding member of the fusion group Return to Forever, lead by the great Chick Corea. Other milestones in his career were the albums “School Days“ in 1976 and “If This Bass Could Only Talk“ in 1988, which were hugely successful. Also remembered is his collaboration with keyboardist George Duke at The Clarke/Duke Project, with whom he recorded three albums, or the supergroup SMV with Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten.
