Sting - Roxanne (Live Tuscany, Sept. 11, 2001)

Brilliant reinvention of the classic Police song. From a live concert in Tuscany on the night of 9/11 - which obviously affects Sting’s and the other musicians’ mood, making the first half of the concert very moving, but also very solemn. Numerous times, Sting hinted to the audience to hold back their applause. However, Roxanne marked a clear change in outlook during the performance, as Sting acknowledges at the end - turning this into a truly magical rendition of the song =o)
