Elon Musk Just UNVEILED Shocking In Flight Tests For Its Starship IFT 3!

Elon Musk Just UNVEILED Shocking In Flight Tests For Its Starship IFT 3! On its third test flight, SpaceX will put its mega-rocket, Starship, through its paces. With greater and more ambitious goals for the two-stage, 400-foot-tall (122-meter) Starship, the upcoming mission—which might launch as early as March 14—will differ significantly from its two predecessors. So, what is SpaceX’s grandiose plan for this flight? Let’s check it out and all the latest news about SpaceX in today’s episode! Hey folks! In order to demonstrate the capabilities required for launching satellites and reaching the moon, SpaceX plans to conduct a more comprehensive series of in-flight tests of its Starship vehicle during its upcoming launch. SpaceX said on March 6 that it planned to launch the Starship/Super Heavy vehicle as early as March 14 on its third integrated test flight. The company stated that the timing is subject to regulatory permissions; however, Federal Aviation Administration officials, who concluded the investigation into the second flight on February 26th, stated last month that they anticipated having an updated license available in time to facilitate a launch in mid-March. Unlike the prior two flights, which had Starship complete almost an orbit before reentering the atmosphere and splashing down close to Hawaii approximately ninety minutes after liftoff from the company’s Starbase installation in South Texas, the third trip will have a different trajectory. That profile was not fulfilled by either launch, since the first Starship/Super Heavy vehicle blew up shortly after launch in April 2023, and the second launch in November 2023 experienced separate failures of the Super Heavy booster and Starship upper stage. The third flight’s profile anticipates a splashdown in the Indian Ocean around sixty-five minutes after takeoff. The company said that “this new flight path enables us to attempt new techniques like in-space engine burns while maximizing public safety.“ The forthcoming launch will include a novel element—one that SpaceX has never done before—the firing of a Raptor engine while in orbit. The mission now includes an additional in-flight test: opening and shutting a payload bay door that will be utilized in subsequent launches to deliver Starlink satellites. Additionally, SpaceX announced that it will move propellant from one tank inside Starship to another as part of a propellant transfer test during the flight. This test is a step toward future experiments in which one Starship spacecraft would transfer liquid oxygen and methane propellants to another Starship in orbit. It was made possible by a NASA Tipping Point technology demonstration award. For Starship to be used as a lunar lander for NASA’s Human Landing System (HLS) mission, such capability is required. In low Earth orbit, one starship would act as a propellant depot that would be refilled by “tanker“ starship flights in the future. After that, the depot would refuel the Starship lunar lander, which would then take off for the moon. A solitary HLS mission would require “ten-ish“ refueling flights, according to a SpaceX official’s January statement. _ Join this channel to get access to the perks: #elonmusk #starship #spacex #elon #musk #starshiplaunch #starshipupdate _ Hope you guys enjoy this! 👉 If you enjoy this video, please like it and share it. 👉 Don’t forget to subscribe to this channel for more updates.
