French ex-President Sarkozy’s wife charged in 2011 Libya corruption case

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the wife of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, has been charged with witness tampering and conspiracy to commit fraud. Prosecutors allege she played a role in covering up claims that her husband’s campaign was financed by the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi.
