Titles read: “From ’Crocks’ to Comfort“. Location of events unknown. M/S of two people driving along a country road in a vintage car; the driver waves as they pass. Commentator talks of transport becoming streamlined and we see a model of a modern liner, a streamlined train moving along a track, the rear of a modern (in 1934) car. The latest car of Mr Joyce, the well-known sporting motorist, is seen outside a country house. He shows a lady the numerous gadgets on the British built car, including a set of cleaning materials in the boot, an emergency spade fitted beneath the bumper, a pulldown dressing table in the back of one of the seats, heaters under the seats, a cigarette holder in the armrest and ashtrays in the doors. A wire for a man’s hat is attached to the roof and a vent blows hot air from the engine onto the windscreen to remove frost.
