There was some chatter going around that this movie inspired WKRP In Cincinnatti. Really great and current collection (at the time) all genres and two LIVE Linda Ronstadt tunes! The opening tune was written specifically for the movie and they finished it in two days bringing in Arranger Johnny Mandel a five time Grammy winning composer who helped define the rich orchestral sounds behind Count Basie and Frank Sinatra to arrange the strings. Steely Dan really paid tribute to the man’s enduring talent by including him. “FM“ was released while the duo were still promoting the wildly popular “Aja“ from 1977.
