New Captain Mode Map: Streets of Syllianon
Notable Improvement & Fixes:
Game Mode Changes
Captain mode AI improvements. Soldiers are now using the equipment as they are gained through perks while in formations.
Server Changes
The matchmaker will not be assigning players to a game which played a certain number of rounds before. Players are no longer able to join a matchmaker game on the last round.
Network Fixes
Fixed a rare network bug that causes client input to desync.
General Changes
Gameplay Changes
Grunt sounds are now starting after the feinting time window so agents will never grunt while feinting.
Improvements on shield model physics.
Fixed a lot of stretching errors on armors.
Shield bash animation update
Added ten frames to the beginning of the animation.
Increased the duration of the animation 10%.
The shield bash now has a little longer cooldown.
Map Changes
Harbour of Ovsk
Various bug fixes.
Winter themed maps have been removed from the map pool. For real this time.
User Interface Changes
New animation on the gold counter in the HUD when the gold amount increases.
Troop / Faction / Equipment Balancing
General Changes
New pommels and guards for spears and some polearms:
This should help to differentiate what type and tier a spear is and which faction it belongs to.
Equip animations for bows in now a bit longer (when taking a bow into the hand).
When bows and crossbows are equipped the movement speed of the player is now decreased.
Adjusted weapon weights for bows and crossbows (they are now generally heavier)
Equipment Balance Changes
Javelins:
Made javelins worse when used in melee mode.
Javelins are now generally lighter. This means that they fly faster and give less of a movement penalty when equipped.
The Battania Javelin now deals less damage.
Fixed the extra version of the Battania Javelin having different values than the normal Battania Javelin.
Replaced the Plumbata with normal Javelins for now.
Throwing Axes & Stones:
Made stones a lot lighter, increased their damage, decreased stack
Throwing axe handles are now longer.
Throwing axes are now generally lighter. This means that they fly faster and give less of a movement penalty when equipped.
The Franceska now only provides 3 axes. But they do more damage.
The Northern Throwing Axe now only provides 4 axes. But they do more damage.
Troop Balance Changes
Increased overall movement speeds of troops (to compensate for the speed loss from equipment).
Bug Fixes
Gameplay Fixes
Fixed an issue that caused agents to hit each other at the same time. We are now calculating who hit first with high precision. The damaged agent can’t damage the enemy.
Fixed an issue that caused a rare blood burst to a random direction.
Fixed picking up stuck weapons on shields and corpses.
Fixed reins with cloth physics getting stuck on dying agents.
Fixed a rare condition where the player is unable to attack after switching weapons.
Fixed a rare condition where the player sees its weapon ready animation falsely as a chain attack ready, after hitting an object or getting blocked.
Fixed an issue that happens when picking up throwing axes when the inventory is full.
Fixed an issue that caused the order shouts not played.
Fixed AI-related issues that caused some of the troops not equipping their weapons and shields properly.
User Interface Fixes
Fixed the wrong troop count information in scoreboard, order and HUD and they’re now consistent.
Fixed height slider showing the wrong height value when character customization screen opens (It’s still not showing 0 correct value but it’s now close to what it should be).
Fixed the cases the game would treat player names as localization values. (It would cause the player names to show up as “variable has not been set before“ etc.)
Fixed an issue that caused the attack direction arrows to be visible even when they’re set as invisible in the game options.
Performance Fixes
Fixed some crashes & infinite loading which can happen with low core systems.
Network Fixes
Fixed a network bug that causes artificial lags when network messages received out of order.
Slightly reduced unnecessary network bandwidth usage.
