Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise

Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise. Marine expeditionary units are the smallest air-ground task forces in the United States Fleet Marine Force. Each MEU is an expeditionary rapid-reaction force, deployed and ready for immediate response to any crisis. Highlights of U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) during a live-fire and maneuver range. While deployed, Marines focus not only on maintaining security, but also on training to maintain readiness and improve skills. The 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region. The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit is one of seven Marine Expeditionary Units currently in existence in the United States Marine Corps. Credits: U.S. Marine Corps videos by Sgt. Israel Chincio, Sgt.
