I’ve started a new series of tutorials focusing on the reverse double half hitch knot. Today I’ll be using this knot to show you how to create a spiral design. Cut 3 pieces of 3mm classic natural string and 3 pieces of 3mm recycled slate grey/blue string, each piece is 6 feet in length. Fold each piece in half and attach to your dowel as seen here. Once completed this design there will be approx. 1 foot of cord left hanging underneath the design. Follow along as I take you through how to create this pattern. Row 1 - Use the left cord as your working cord and the right cord as your filler cord and tie 6 reverse dhhks across your work. Row 2 - Skip the first cord and tie 5 reverse dhhks across your work using the left cord as your working cord and the right cord as your filler cord. Row 3 - Use the left cord as your working cord and tie 2 reverse dhhks. Use the right cord as your working cord and tie one reverse dhhk. Use the left cord as your working cord and tie 3 reverse dhhks. Row 4 - Skip the first cord. Use the left cord as your working cord and tie 1 reverse dhhk. Use the right cord as your working cord and tie 2 reverse dhhks. Use the left cord as your working cord and tie 2 reverse dhhks. Row 5 - Use the left cord as your working cord and tie 1 reverse dhhk.
