3D Extruded Text Using C4D Renderer | After Effects Tutorial

In this video I’m going to show you how to create a 3D extruded text animation in After Effects. This animation came about from an exercise I sometimes do with my students, where I get them to animate the cover of a book they’ve picked out. So while I DO look at technique, I’m not really interested in offering a precision, step by step tutorial here. I skim over certain techniques such as flattening out perspective using camera position and zoom, and the keyframe animation. If you’re interested in specific parts of this animation you can find them by skipping through the process video below. ► Watch the full, unedited process for this animation here: Also you might find it helpful downloading the project file to unpack certain parts. ► Download the FREE project file: I think this is more interesting as an exercise which helps everyone avoid having similar types of animation on their showreels, and forces beginner to problem solve. That’s my excuse anyway. ============================================================= ► The Video Shop Long Play: ============================================================= Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 1:20:00 - Recreate artwork 1:50:00 - Extruding the text 2:27:00 - Adding colour to the front and sides 2:38:00 - Camera settings 3:06:00 - Lighting and shadows 3:44:00 - Fine tuning perspective using corner pin 3:58:00 - Animation 4:32:00 - Final touches ============================================================= ► Subscribe for more tutorials like this: ============================================================= ► If you have any questions just let me know in the comments. ► Find me: #learnanimation #extrudetext #textextrusion #3Dtype #3Dtypeaftereffects #3Dtypopgraphy #isometric #isometricaftereffects #aftereffectstutorial #animation #motiondesign #learnmotiondesign #animatedtype #kinetictype #kinetictypography #Cinema4Drenderer #C4Drenderer #2Danimation
