- SICILIANO for organ (from Flute Sonata, BWV 1031) [Hauptwerk // Noordbroek]

In this video you can hear my rendition of ’’s famous “Siciliano” from the Flute Sonata in Eb major (BWV 1031) arranged for organ by @AubreyTucker played on my own Hauptwerk organ. I have chosen to use the sample set of Noordbroek, created by Sonus Paradisi. Bach’s Siciliano from his second flute sonata feels very much like it was written directly for the organ. The Siciliano is the slow second movement from the sonata written in G minor (the mediant key) which is a bit unusual as they most often are played in the parallel key (C minor). In this arrangement I have selected the simplest of registrations: One 8 stop flute in the Great, one 8 stop flute in the Rugpostif and one 8 stop flute in the pedal (although Aubrey recommends a 16, 8 registration. Everything is played with a tremulant to give that vibrance in the sound. Do give @AubreyTucker’s channel a visit. He really does great work and I have personally bought one arrangement more that I hope to release soon on my channel. What could it be?
