Helmet tests, part 5 - Bascinet vs. axe, mace, hammer, flail (plus poleaxe fail)

This is a tough, well made mm (13-14 gauge) thick bascinet with 1.6 mm (16 gauge) visor. It’s quite heavy and impervious to swords. The single-handed axe can dent it but it’s basically just cosmetic damage. Even the hammer spike can’t penetrate it. The weapons used: Knightly riding sword by Arms & Armor Italian mace by Windlass
