No titles. Easter Parade in Battersea Park. London. Various shots of the Easter Parade in Battersea Park. The theme is ’Transport Through The Ages’. The first float we see shows glamour girls on a ’Jersey’ themed float, sitting on motorboats and waving to the crowd. A carnival queen sits on a throne on the float - could be London Tourist Board Easter Princess Christina Hasler. Other floats depict space travel - with people in space or robot costumes walking alongside - and varied forms of transport, such as an old omnibus, a steam traction engine, horse-drawn fire engine, camels, horse-drawn carriages and stagecoaches. A woman is carried along in a sedan chair, others ride in a Roman-style chariot, while some stone-age children pull along a simple cart, with a stone-age girl sitting on it.
