Songs of Jewish Polesye - music project inspired by musical biography, narrative and repertoire of Mariam Nirenberg, Polish-Canadian Jewish folksinger. She was born in Polesye borderland region of Poland before the World War II and emigrated to Toronto in early 30’s. With cooperation of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, conducted field work (1968-1975) for the music of . Following this research, we aims to revive, reconstruct and provide modern arrangements to this forgotten songs.
