Twin Peaks Analysis: Political Themes and the Killer’s Reveal (Part 3)
Part 3 of my ongoing analysis of Twin Peaks! This part of the analysis covers the meaning of the killer’s reveal in terms of the show’s feminist themes, and then goes onward to elaborate on the show’s political themes and perspective on 50’s culture and norms that had risen back to prominence in the 1980’s (continuing from my video on Blue Velvet). Finally, I take the time to discuss some ways in which the show critiques capitalism through the show’s arguable primary villain, Benjamin Horne.
