“MESSIAH“ - OneShot fan song by Nikostar

I wrote this song as a submission for the “Just Niko“ discord server’s art contest. This is the first time I’ve ever made not only a music video, but an animated video in the first place. I feel like I could have done a lot more with it but my limited experience as well as my virtually non-existent video editing skills severely limited what I was able to produce. My aim was a song and dance but since I couldn’t animate a dance normally, I just got a friend to wear a Niko model in VRChat and then recorded them dancing. I goofed up the recording and the video had a black background instead of transparency so I made the decision to screen blend it to make it look like the World Machine’s projection of Niko instead of re-recording the whole thing. I think I’ve learned a lot from this project and I wholeheartedly believe I could make some far better works if I wanted to make something similar going forward.
