Karate (1964)

King’s Cross, London. Story all about the popular martial art - karate. Group of men in white karate outfits do some warming up exercises. One of these involves a contortionist like pose with one of the legs hooked around the neck. Contests take place in the practice session. Some of the exponents of this sport look quite menacing as they practice their kicks. C/U of a badge - the British Karate Federation. Some of the men show off their skills in breaking pieces of wood. One piece is broken by a fist, another with an elbow and one with a foot. Award ceremony. Belts are awarded. C/U of some of the belts on a table - different colours.
