Motor Racing (1920-1929)

Motor racing. Location of events unknown. Automobiles; racing. Various shots of cars in road race; driving on curving road w/ woods alongside. 1920s. Some of the cars are race cars but there are also sporty non-race cars and even some big enclosed boxy-looking vehicles. Each car has driver and passenger (riding mechanic). Cars drive fast past sign Danger Drive Slowly- -a bit ironic & funny. (Sign is not very large but is visible & noticeable.) More driving round curves. Then cars drive down narrow ramp which slopes down to wider track; shots both from behind and in front of cars coming down ramp. Cars drive on rather primitive track on flat plain. Cars coming up hill through tunnel w/ signs on tunnel advertising Henlys; London’s Leading Motor Agents; Over 200 Cars in Stock; etc. Start of race: shot of many cars lined up at starting line. Guys hurry to start their engines; then jump in and the cars start off. More shots of cars going down ramp; from various angles & distances. Safety; speed. FILM ID:
