Viewers were no doubt surprised recently when, in the middle of a Canadian news show segment about Hannukah decorations going up around town, the video mysteriously switched to depicting scenes of death and destruction in Gaza. Soon the images returned to the expected fare, but the station had to issue a retraction and apology later on.
