Date: 3 March 2017 Description: Lone lioness first attempt in bringing down a lone waterbuck male failed on the one hand earlier that morning. On the other hand it added to her success later as the waterbuck got badly injured with hind legs broken and stomach open. Waterbuck tries to make an escape but doesn’t get far. After 6 hours the female went down for a drink in the riverbed, came back up with new energy (as it was 40 C heat the whole day) then decides enough is enough.
