Now commonly identified as “Blue Yodel No. 1,” this was the first and best-known of thirteen ‘blue yodel’ songs written and recorded between 1927 and 1933 by “The Singing Brakeman” (also known as “The Father of Country Music”) featuring the 12-bar blues format and his trademark yodel refrains.
