According to the American Community Survey (ACS), it is estimated that in 2019, 95% of children between the ages 3 to 18 had internet access in their home. Many cases of sexual exploitation and trafficking begin with online contact, and the potential for a child to be groomed online is much greater when a parent is unaware of what to look for. Therefore, it’s encouraged for parents to educate themselves and to open up a dialogue with their kids about this difficult topic.

Scott Pietrzak, Founder & President of Online Safety Specialists, says “The most important thing about teaching this class is trying to thwart this before it turns into a situation where . has to go out and do a rescue.”
