G7 to ban Russian diamonds from Jan. 1

G7, 1월 1일부로 러시아산 다이아 수입 규제 발표 The G7 will ban Russian diamonds from January 1st. The group of seven major economies announced the ban following a leaders’ meeting on Wednesday. A direct ban will come in at the start of January, followed by phased-in restrictions on indirect imports of Russian gems expected to begin around March first. The policy includes plans to introduce a “robust traceability-based verification and certification“ mechanism for rough diamonds by September 2024.
