In this tutorial, I will show you how to set up loopback in Focusrite Scarlet audio interfaces, and how to use the Focusrite Loopback function to record internal audio into your DAW. Loopback is a function found in Focusrite Scarlett audio interfaces. It allows you to easily set up the internal audio from your computer as a dedicated input, so that you can record this with just a few clicks inside FL Studio, Ableton, or any other DAW, without using any third-party software. This is extremely useful if you want to record audio from YouTube, Spotify, etc into FL Studio, Ableton, or any other DAW. In this tutorial, I’m using FL Studio to show you how to setup loopback with a focusrite scarlett 4i4, but it’s the same basic procedure in other daws too. The first thing you have to do is to go into Focusrite control and enable loopback output. Then, select the same input in FL Studio (or any other DAW). You can now record the internal audio. Easy!
