Blackthorne Longplay (SNES) [QHD]

Follow me on Twitter @ Get Great Retro Scene News @ Developed by Blizzard Entertainment and published by Interplay in 1994 Blizzard Entertainment’s platform-action game is very much a mash-up of Prince of Persia and Flashback, spiced up with their trademark high fantasy lore. The game was originally released for the SNES in 1994, alongside a conversion for the PC (the version that I first got to play). It’s equally accomplished as it’s forebears in most regards, featuring some good animation and decent production values. The gun combat is OK, although the hiding in shadows concept can get tiresome in the mid-game when enemies increase in health and take more hits before dying. Overall, it’s a pretty cool game, and I’m looking forward to checking out some of the other versions in the future. #blackthorne #blizzard #SNES
