The Godfather of Disco - Red Bull Music Academy

Known as the ‘Godfather of Disco’, the 74 year-old Giorgio Moroder is credited with introducing synth to the world of disco. He’s worked with the likes of David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Cher and was behind such genre-defining hits as Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’, ‘Love To Love You Baby’ and Blondie’s ‘Call Me’. The pioneering artist is also the musical genius behind the timeless film themes for Scarface and American Gigolo. He’s won Academy Awards for Best Original Score for Midnight Express and Best Song
