Durante la gira asiatica 2019, tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer los lugares mas increibles y sus gentes, maravillosas. Este video lo filmamos en el centro de Tokyo, en un templó que nos cautivó, con los grandes bailarines locales Eugene y Alisa y tambien en las costas heladas de Kamchatka, donde para nuestra sorpresa nos esperaban dos pianos acusticos en plena playa. Creadores de un estilo propio llamado “Tango Punk“ por su sonido moderno y contemporáneo y por su estética rockera, el grupo se caracteriza por ser creativo, original y bailable. Algunos los llaman “bufones modernos“ y otros dicen que hacen tango tradicional y bailable y ambas son verdades. Su tango distorsionado mezclado con un look post-punk, a la vez atrae y repele al público. Con una buena dosis de humor, han creado algunas introducciones improvisadas para tangos clásicos, con los que abren su vigoroso show. Basados actualmente en Buenos Aires, se encuentran preparando una película documental y la producción de nuevos videoclips y preparando las giras 2019 por Asia y Europa. Cada año, el Cachivache realiza giras por todo el mundo; han visitado mas de 50 paises en 3 continentes y realizado más de 1000 shows. En Octubre de 2019 fueron seleccionados para presentarse en showcase en Womex Finlandia, la mas imporante feria musical mundial. ENGLISH: El Cachivache Quinteto is currently one of the most popular tango groups and is widely recognized on the world music circuit. Sometimes called ’Tango Punk’, the group is characterized by its undeniably creative, original, and very “danceable ’’ style. Some call them “modern buffoons“, others describe the music as “communal flat groove“, and both are true. El Cachivache serves up its music in a vigorous manner with a good dose of humor, mixing up overdriven traditional tango music with a post punk look, which simultaneously frightens and attracts the tourists. Witty song introductions emerged with the music, livening up already energetic performances. The band is very popular in its home city of Buenos Aires, playing around 90 concerts a year. In 2008, two Argentinian musicians living in Spain, Vito Venturino (guitar) and Pablo Montanelli (Piano) reconnect with their Porteño roots and form the group Cachivache. They quickly attract attention in Europe and Asia for their very distinctively modern style. Once resettled in Buenos Aires, they begin to compose original pieces while also at the same time continuing to thrill dancers and fans of classic tango arrangements with an undeniably contemporary sound. They are presenting now their 7 Cd “Lujo y Fantasía“ and preparing the next tours in Europe in July and Russia-Asia in September-October. They are also shooting a documentary road movie on tour while traveling. The band was selected to perform at WOMEX19 official showcase In Tampere, Finland in October 2019.
