From Bangkok or Hua Hin it will take all night trip around 7-9 hours by bus with stop in Surat Thani. From Samui island you need take ferry or boat and then car or bus, it will take in total around 5 hours. Also you can fly to Surat Thani and then use bus or car around 1 hour from Surat Thani airport. For booking bus, train and ferry tickets I recommend 12go. Also you can just book tour from Phuket in local tour operator!
