How Juan Curuchet competed at SIX Olympic Games to win GOLD

The Mar del Plata native came from humble beginnings to achieve his dream of competing at the Olympic Games, finishing fifth in the Men’s Points Race at Los Angeles 1984. Curuchet would compete in Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, each time finishing off the podium. Encouraged on by his family and especially his brother Gabriel, Juan decided to give it one more go at Beijing 2008, compete in the Men’s Madison Race along with teammate Walter Pérez and seek out to accomplish his lifelong dream of becoming an Olympic champion.
