GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Panthers () | Jarry Stands Tall in Shootout

After another shootout loss in Chicago, the Penguins headed home to take on the Florida Panthers. This was the first time that Patric Hornqvist has returned to PPG Paints Arena since being traded away from the Penguins, and the fans gave him a rousing ovation, which was appreciated by the former Penguins forward. Teddy Blueger scored his third goal of the season roughly midway through the opening period, but it was answered just under four minutes later by Florida’s Vatrano. In the 2nd period, Jason Zucker found Evan Rodrigues, who was streaking through the middle of the ice and into Florida’s zone. Rodrigues buried it to put the Penguins up, 2-1. Pittsburgh would be in the lead until Barkov scored his ninth of the season in the 3rd period, tying things up for Florida.
