Хор “Бурлака“ - “Дивізіє, гей, рідна мати“ The 14 division SS “Galizien“ was formed in April 1943 on the territory of the District of Galicia on the initiative of the then Governor General of Galicia Otto Wechter, which became a real holiday for Ukrainian nationalists of those days. The number of personnel of the division at different times reached 30 thousand people. Recruitment to the division was completely voluntary. The division participated: - In the battle of Brody (1944). - In the battle for Lviv (1944). - In defense of Western Ukraine from the offensive of the Red Army (1943-1944) - In the fight against the Slovak uprising (1944-1945) - In the fight against communist saboteurs (1943-1945) - In the Battle of Vienna (1945).
