I found some old abandoned places out in the woods exploring around the old quarry

Out exploring around the old granite quarry I took the long way around on the other side of the old railroad tracks. Following the trails on this easy New England hike I came across a cellar hole from a hundreds year old house. An interesting spot with several concrete features. These old 1700s and 1800s sites can be found anywhere out in the woods if you keep your eyes open. So making my way down the dead tracks which have not had trains on them in 80-100 years I made it to the old quarry. The buildings are gone but the old chimney stack is still there along with the remains of people doing things. Old brick, can, big iron all about. Some very cool New England history for sure.
