The death toll of journalists in Gaza keeps rising

Israel’s war on Gaza is also a war on journalists. The death toll keeps rising as news outlets and human rights organizations condemn the killing of journalists, who have played a key role in showing the world a close up view of life in Gaza during the war. It has been the deadliest period for journalists since the Committee to Protect Journalists began gathering data more than two decades ago. Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael al-Dahdouh’s son was killed by an Israeli strike alongside freelancer Mustafa Thoraya. The two are among more than 23,000 Palestinians who have been killed in Gaza since the war began.
