This is the 1st video of the series of videos for the Blooming Joy blanket pattern. This blanket originally was designer as a throw size blanket and the one you can see at the beginning of the video is made in YarnArt Jeans, cotton/acrylic blend, (fine, weight 2), 174yards (160m), 50g / and 3.5 mm hook. The final size of this blanket is 140x140 cm or 55x55 inches square. But please note I crochet lose, so your blanket in the same yarn and hook size will be smaller. The amount of yarn used for this blanket is: Color A YarnArt Jeans 65 - 8 skeins Color B YarnArt Jeans 74 - 7 skeins Color C YarnArt Jeans 7 - 6 skeins Color D YarnArt Jeans 62 - 7 skeins If your crochet tension is tide, you will get this size with an aran weight yarn. If your crochet tension is normal, your blanket will be about 165x165 cm or 65x65 inches and 5 mm hook, and you will need approx 30% more yarn. The written pattern can be found on my blog
