The Lazarus IDE is a free, cross-platform, open-source and very powerful tool for developing desktop applications on your PC, and it will work superbly on weaker Linux platforms too, such as the Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone Black, Banana Pi etc. Here’s a small example of how it works.
